Leadership

Carl was born and raised in Central VA and studied Pastoral Ministry at Lee University in Tennessee. He spent the first 11 years of my ministry career working with students as a Youth Pastor,  and stepped into the Lead Pastor Role in the Spring of 2019. Carl married his wife Kirsten in 2013 and, together, they have 3 beautiful children - Maci, McKinley and Maverick ("Mav"). They look forward to many years of serving our church and seeing lives changed in our community!

Sandra has been attending our church since 2001 and has served in various capacities. She recently took the Financial Secretary position after retiring from her full-time job. Her and her husband, Woody, love traveling and are PROFESSIONALS at finding the best hidden-gems to get a good bite to eat! In addition to her role as Financial Secretary, Sandra serves as our Kitchen Team Coordinator and on the Women's Ministry Leadership Team.

Kirsten was born and raised in Chesterfield County and attended college at Virginia Commonwealth University. She began helping tChurch improve its website and social media presence in 2018 and has enjoyed watching the growth that has come from it! Kirsten married her husband, Carl, in 2013 and is a Stay-at-Home-Mom to 3 beautiful children - Maci, McKinley and Maverick ("Mav"). She also has a huge heart for worship and serves in our music ministry & our Women's Ministry! 

Ian was born in New Jersey, grew up in New Kent, VA, and is happily married to his wonderful wife, Alyssa. God changed the trajectory of Ian & Alyssa’s lives through a mission trip to West Africa. This led to their arrival at tChurch in 2019 and desire to help our body faithfully carry out the Great Commission, making disciples from the neighborhood to the nations. Ian graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Music and is pursuing an M.Div. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also works full-time for the IMB to help churches on the East Coast send missionaries and carry out the missionary task (M-Task) back home and abroad.
